How do Extreme Couponers Get so Many Coupons

Are you a beginner or relatively new to couponing and wonder how the extreme couponers accumulate loads of coupons? Extreme couponers actively search for coupons on products that they regularly use either daily, weekly and some monthly, depending on the time they have allotted for saving money.


Here are some tips to help you find coupons and build your coupon stock:

1. Order coupons from the sites of the products you use, many manufacturers offer periodic or ongoing printable coupons or coupons by mail and you should also check their social networking pages such as Facebook and Twitter as well as their blogs
2. Order coupons from sites such as Brandsaver.ca, GoCoupons.ca, Save.ca, Websaver.ca, LifeMadeDelicious.ca, LiveWellSaveWell.ca and Right@Home.ca
3. Look in newspapers and magazines that you have access to reading
4. Subscribe to several newspapers which carry the coupon circulars
5. Subscribe to the magazines that have periodic coupon flyer
6. Local and National newspapers have coupon inserts called SmartSource and RedPlum, they are published usually on a monthly basis
7. Ask family, friends and neighbours to keep coupons for you that they don't use
8. Look in the recycling bins on garbage day, you can find many coupon circulars there that were unwanted by the dwellers of the homes
9. Check the lunchroom at your place of employment
10. Check community centres for boxes with free coupons (like the photo above) for anyone to take
11. Join Shoppers Voice and complete the surveys for coupons and samples
12. Look at info boards or coupon boards at your grocery stores
13. Check the shelves of the stores near the products located on hang tags or tear pads
14. Look for products that you buy which have coupons on the packaging or inside the packaging
15. Join coupon trains that are hosted by many people online or in community groups
16. Trade coupons with other avid couponers online or locally in a small or large group setting
17. Join FDR's Canadian Coupon Club where you can order coupons every month for FREE

While I've been couponing for many years, I still learn new savings techniques from other frugal minded friends and welcome any tips that our readers may have for finding coupons that aren't mentioned above.
